How to get domicile certificate?

Domicile Certificate is the prove of your living place. Generally we have to apply for it to BDO (Block Development Office) But the issuing authority is SDO ( Sub Divisional Officer) . In municipality, you may have to visit the municipal office.

Importance Of Domicile Certificate

There are many importance of domicile Certificate. It is a government document and useful in Scholarship, EWS certificate, at the time of new job joining and many more.The validity of this certificate is generally 6 months to 1 year, but it varies from state to state

Eligibility Of Domicile Certificate

There are no such eligibility criteria of domicile certificate but you must have to be an Indian. And you have not to apply for this with out any reason.

Required Document

  • Two copy of passport size photo of applicant
  • Aaddhar card Xerox of applicant.
  • Residential Proof of applicant such as birth certificate, secondary certificate, or ration card etc
  • Certificate from Gram Panchayet Pradhan with photo attested
  • Certificate of EA (Executive Assistant)

How to make Domicile Certificate ?

There are two method ; One is online process and other is offline process

In Online mode,

Go through your State Government Portal and make user Id and password. then fill up the form and upload all supporting documents. Next you will get a unique Id. you can download that certificate through that website with that ID. Generally It takes up to 1 week.

In Offline Mode,

Visit your BDO (Block Development Office) Then write an application addressing block Development officer and submit all relevant document and you may get your certificate same day (generally).
